Personal Assistant role at Barratt Redrow
What you’ll be doing?
Reporting to the Department Director/ Manager to support the Director/Head of Department in fulfilling their responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of the business through the provision of efficient and effective administrative support.
You will be expected to:
* Work closely with the Director/Manager to ensure that tasks such as reports, incoming post, correspondence, management of diary/meetings schedule and email are dealt with efficiently.
* Type letters, memos, Board Reports, schedules, etc., and follow up responses if required.
* Liaise with internal customers to ensure a smooth workflow between departments and with Head Office.
* Monitor costs incurred by the relevant department.
* Perform general office administration tasks as and when required to meet the needs of the department – e.g. filing, photocopying, dealing with telephone calls.
* Be the main point of contact for apprentices’ enrolment and day-to-day engagement, if applicable.
* Manage the holiday and sickness planners.
* Manage the Departmental Director diary.
* Provide other appropriate ad‑hoc duties, and administrative support for other departments, as and when required.
What you’ll need
To be successful you will have:
* Experience of working in a secretarial/admin role.
* Proficient with MS Office programs which include PowerPoint, mail merges, Excel and a good standard of written English.
* Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided.
* Self–disciplined, with demonstrably good time‑management skills and the ability to manage several priorities.
* Ability to multi‑task and work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Team player, supportive of colleagues.
* Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers.
* Excellent telephone skills.
