Mental Health Safety Planning Outreach Team Lead
Join an independent charity delivering trusted mental health services. We are seeking a compassionate, organized leader to oversee a small specialist team that provides a suicide prevention pilot service across Buckinghamshire.

* Department: Safety Planning
* Location: Hybrid home‑working model; regular travel across Buckinghamshire, including at least one day a week at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Hours: 28 hours per week (Tuesday – Friday).
* Salary: £29,795 FTE; pro rata £22,547.57 for 28 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Safety Planning Outreach Service, providing line management, supervision, coaching and practice development to Outreach Workers while maintaining a small caseload.
* Support service users directly by carrying out assessments, developing personalised safety plans, offering emotional support and connecting individuals to community, voluntary and primary care resources.
* Ensure quality, safety and partnership working – oversee risk management and safeguarding, monitor outcomes and data, and collaborate with GPs, MHICS teams and wider community partners.
* Drive service improvement by using service user feedback, best practice and data to support continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience in mental health and suicide prevention, including work with emotional distress, trauma, safety planning and high‑risk situations.
* Strong leadership and people‑management skills, able to supervise, support and develop staff working with vulnerable adults.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with effective partnership working with external agencies and stakeholders.
* A recovery‑focused, compassionate approach, capable of motivating and empowering individuals while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Access to a vehicle for use during work hours; alternative transport arrangements will be considered.
