In this role, the successful Mechanical Fitter would be responsible for working on a wide range of Submarine projects. You'll be at the heart of one of the UK's most critical defence projects where you'll contribute directly to the maintenance and modification of submarines and naval vessels, helping to protect national security. The ideal Welder would a track record in a similar role. Have a minimum of a level 2 NVQ or similar in a relevant qualification. Be happy to work a 4-week rotating shift pattern. The Role: Work primarily on submarines, with additional tasks on ships and in factory environments. Executing high-quality welding using specialised tools and machinery Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions Supporting the HMS Victorious project within our Submarines business unit Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project milestonesThe Person: Welder or similar.
