The team is a multi-disciplined maintenance team, working 12-hour days and nights to respond to breakdowns and complete planned maintenance. The individual is responsible for picking up work, booking spares, keeping records, ensuring legalisation, and advising the team leader or section engineer on any spares used or required. They must adhere to agreed procedures and systems of working and have involvement in creating RA SWP & JTDs. Risk assessments are completed, and continuity of cover is provided in case of sickness or holiday. Equipment maintenance is ensured, and waste reduction is minimised. The team may also assist across-site to support business objectives, working in all departments and gaining working knowledge using the local team's experience. On-the-job training is also provided, and involvement in plant improvement projects is encouraged. The team may be requested to assist across-site as needed to support business objectives. The Role of Electrical Technician Shift Role for Downstream Knowledge and Experience The job requires a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, heavy manufacturing industry experience, and sound plant engineering knowledge in industrial systems like hydraulic systems, pumps, drives, heat treatment systems, material handling,dust extraction systems, and PLCs. The individual should be self-starting, capable of leading a small team, and have strong problem-solving skills. They should also have experience working under permit systems or understand how they operate. The candidate should have a customer-focused attitude and understand prioritisation with current resources.
