As a Category Analyst within our procurement function, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the commercial integrity, compliance, and auditability of supplier pricing. You’ll work closely with internal teams and leading suppliers to drive efficiency, deliver actionable insights, and support data-led decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities: Auditing transactions and identifying pricing discrepancies Supporting pricing reviews, benchmarking, and stakeholder reporting Managing product catalogues and maintaining data accuracy Structuring and analysing tender data Presenting insights to internal and external stakeholders Support the resolution of commercial issues with suppliers to benefit our customers and PfH Ensuring timely, accurate delivery of outputs and reports Person Specification: Proven experience as a Category Analyst or similar role Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Office 365, and Microsoft CRM Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills A methodical, detail-focused mindset with excellent communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Key Competencies: • Excellent numerical and analytical skills • Advanced Excel • Relational database experience (Power BI, Office 365, Microsoft CRM) • Data cleansing and data enrichment techniques • Capability to develop and document procedures and workflows • Ability to check data quality • Understand data protection issues • Plan work and meet deadlines • Analyse and interpret data, providing insights to internal stakeholders • Problem solving ability • Methodical and logical • Accurate with attention to detail • Interpersonal and teamworking skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Critical thinker • Initiative • Effective decision maker • Project management skills In return we offer a fantastic benefits package including: Income Protection – 75% of salary covered if unable to work due to illness (post-probation).
