The Dental Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' is seeking two motivated Senior Nursing Assistants to join a large team supporting undergraduate and postgraduate dental programs in collaboration with King's College London (KCL).

Main duties of the job:
You will support daily clinical activities alongside the dental nursing team in either undergraduate or postgraduate settings. Excellent communication skills, motivation, and the ability to work independently with support are essential.
Your responsibilities include working with the stock controller, managing stock orders, supporting stock control, learning about dental materials and equipment, and liaising with sterile services to ensure timely equipment returns. Training in phlebotomy will be provided if not already acquired.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
§ Provide excellent customer care to ensure patients come first.
§ Perform delegated clinical care duties.
§ Ensure adequate stock levels through timely ordering.
§ Maintain accurate records of orders and receipts.
§ Monitor and improve stock ordering procedures.
§ Collaborate with the Dental Sisters on budget and stock management.
Person specification:
Experience:
* Experience as a healthcare assistant in a hospital or care setting.
* Customer care experience.
* Experience taking clinical observations.
Education/Qualifications:
* GCSEs or equivalent.
* NVQ III in Healthcare or equivalent.
* National Care Certificate.
Additional Information:
* Manual handling skills.
* Flexible to shift patterns, including days, nights, and unsocial hours.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
* Knowledge of care procedures.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
