The role
Nabrel Limited seeks an experienced investment professional to head underwriting and capital structuring. This founding role is the analytical engine of the firm. The Head of Investments leads the full investment process, from initial review to Investment Committee approval and financial close. This role sets standards and governance that shape Nabrel's deal quality and risk management.
The Role: Primary Responsibilities Investment Assessment: Lead comprehensive investment assessment and due diligence workstreams across all asset classes within Nabrel's mandate — Real Estate, Infrastructure, Energy, and Logistics.
Underwriting Standards: Build, document, and institutionalize underwriting standards, financial modeling frameworks, and risk assessment protocols that meet the expectations of institutional LPs and co-investors.
IC Governance: Author Investment Committee memoranda, chair deal approval gate processes, and manage the structured progression of opportunities from origination through to commitment.
Capital Structuring: Design and execute complex SPVs, tax-efficient holding vehicles, leverage structures, and capital stack optimization across debt and equity tranches.
Institutional Liaison: Oversee the technical transition of approved opportunities into structured institutional-grade placements, coordinating with legal, finance, and capital markets functions.
Portfolio Oversight: Maintain active monitoring of committed investments alongside the Portfolio Manager, tracking performance against underwritten assumptions and flagging variances.
Origination Collaboration: Work in co-equal partnership with the Director of Sourcing & Partnerships — one function originates opportunities, the other underwrites and structures them.
Who We Are Looking For Experience: 20+ years of institutional experience within Private Equity, Real Assets, Structured Finance, or Infrastructure investment — with direct responsibility for deal execution and IC governance.
Technical Mastery: Advanced financial modeling capability including leveraged structures, waterfall distribution analysis, sensitivity modeling, and IRR/equity multiple optimization.
Structuring Expertise: Mastery of SPV legal frameworks, cross-border tax structuring, and capital stack design across senior debt, mezzanine, and equity layers.
IC Communication: Exceptional investment memo writing skills — able to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative analysis into clear, decision-ready documentation for senior leadership and LP audiences.
Institutional Credibility: Track record of presenting to and working with institutional investment committees, co-investors, and LP advisory boards.
Sector Knowledge: Deep familiarity with at least two of Nabrel's core sectors — Real Estate, Infrastructure, Energy, or Logistics — with demonstrable transaction history.
