Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embryologist to join our dedicated laboratory team in Reading, MA. In this on-site, full-time role, the Senior Embryologist will perform a wide range of advanced IVF laboratory procedures and contribute to the highest standards of reproductive care.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform all aspects of embryology, including oocyte identification, insemination, embryo culture, and embryo grading
* Conduct intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and assist with embryo biopsy as needed
* Manage cryopreservation and thawing of oocytes, embryos, and sperm
* Participate in oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers
* Ensure strict adherence to laboratory protocols, quality control measures, and regulatory standards
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with all applicable laws and accrediting bodies (e.g., CAP, CLIA, FDA)
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory team to support individualized treatment plans
* Contribute to laboratory advancements, process improvements, and research initiatives
Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Senior Embryologist in an IVF laboratory
* Proven proficiency in IVF laboratory techniques, including embryo culture and cryopreservation
* Hands-on experience with egg retrieval and ICSI procedures
* In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and laboratory best practices
* Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field required; PhD preferred
* Certification as a Clinical Embryologist (ACE or equivalent) is a plus
