About the role
Are you looking to develop your technical skills, work outdoors, and play a key role in keeping our highways safe and visible? We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Highways Electrician to join our Street Lighting team and support the growth of our lighting services across the contract.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working with their hands, and taking pride in delivering high‑quality, safe electrical work that directly benefits the community.
What you'll be doing
* Install, repair and maintain street lighting equipment including brackets, cables, bollards and illuminated signs
* Carry out jointing on private cable networks and replace components (lamps, fuses, switches, cells, capacitors)
* Track and diagnose electrical faults
* Complete basic on‑site risk assessments and follow safe working practices
* Manage site traffic setups and look after equipment, tools and vehicles
* Work occasional unsociable hours when required
Who we're looking for
* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Level 2 & Level 3 Electrical qualifications
* Good communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Street Lighting experience, IPAF 1b, G39/1, First Aid, NRSWA Operative, Manual Handling.
