Description
The Assistant Accountant will report to the Finance Business Partner and be responsible for:
Building relationships with business areas service delivery leads.
Provision of financial information, including reports and financial statements.
Monitoring the quarterly forecast and identifying key risks and opportunities.
Assisting with the preparation of accurate financial information for budget holders.
Ensuring journals, receipts and payments are made in line with accounting principles and processes.
Providing data for projects as required. Profile
The successful Assistant Accountant will be at the early stages of their studies and (AAT of part qualified CCAB) and have a basic background in accountancy and understanding the fundamentals of accounts.
A strong background in Excel is essential for this role alongside excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

Job Offer
A salary of £36,000 - £39,000 plus an excellent benefits package including full study support and the opportunity to join the Civil Service pension scheme.
