We are pleased to advertise for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Children in Care Specialist CAMHS Service in AWP in Bristol (Thinking Allowed). This well-established service has a reputable history of working with children and young people with complex needs who have experienced multiple adversities.

We are a small, supportive, energetic, and creative team comprising Clinical Psychologists, Dance/Art Psychotherapists, an Assistant Psychologist, and an Administrator. We also host regular trainee Clinical Psychologists from Bath University.
Post-holders will support the team in delivering high-quality and effective interventions. There are opportunities to work directly with young people under clinical supervision, participate in data analysis and report writing, and contribute to all aspects of service delivery. The team collaborates with core CAMHS services and partners with Social Care and Education.

Main duties of the job
1. Support the Thinking Allowed Service.
2. Deliver high-quality clinical interventions under clinical supervision.
3. Allocate time for direct clinical work, developing resources, conducting data analysis/report writing, and revising treatment manuals under supervision.
4. Gather and organize information about relevant psychological interventions and tools for use by staff and carers.
5. Collaborate closely with team members, ensuring effective communication.
6. Maintain clinical records and statistics as appropriate.
7. Undertake necessary training to maintain expertise.
8. Assist with service audit and evaluation, in collaboration with qualified clinicians and team members.
9. Compile and submit statistics and activity reports as required.
10. Ensure compliance with data collection and information sharing guidelines, providing reports and maintaining records of assessments and interventions.
11. Be prepared to travel to other sites, clinics, schools, and homes as needed.
12. Maintain computer literacy.
