We are looking to employ a Band 5 Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our busy unit in Elective Orpington Theatres. We operate Monday - Saturday between the hours 08.00am - 8:00pm The primary role of this post is focused on the scrub / circulatory role of the theatre practitioner in supporting the perioperative team during elective orthopaedic surgery. In addition, the registered nurse will be responsible for ensuring all relevant equipment, prosthesis and loans sets necessary for the surgical procedure are at hand. Main duties of the job Job Summary: To work within both the nursing and multi disciplinary team to provide evidence based, holistic care to a group of patients from admission to discharge in department.u00a0 To take responsibility for managing and co-ordinating an assigned area of the department in the absence of more senior staff.
