We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join the RSPB Commercial Team to manage the RSPB’s stockholding and purchasing. What's the role about? Working as part of a small team the role will include managing the production of purchase orders and ensuring deliveries arrive in full within agreed lead times, across a range of product categories, and ensuring delivery information is kept accurately recorded and updated in the system. Working with both our warehouse and suppliers to resolve any issues on received deliveries. Monitoring stock levels to identify any over/under stocks, managing and reporting on supply issues, monitoring supplier performance, using knowledge of products and ranges to prioritise stock and ordering. Working with finance and suppliers to investigate and resolve any discrepancies on invoiced orders. The successful candidate will need to be a strong communicator with good attention to detail, as the role is a central liaison between suppliers, warehouses, finance, and internal stakeholders. Essential skills, knowledge and experience: Experience in a previous inventory management position Good communication skills, both written and verbal Strong PC skills, including creation and analysis of excel spreadsheets Ability to multitask and prioritise workload Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels Problem solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative Additional Information This is a 6 month Fixed-Term/ Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
