Job Title: Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer
Location: Woking, Surrey
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £38k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting for a well-established Ventilation Compliance specialist, who are seeking a well-rounded Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer to cover contracts in the South East region. Access to the M25 would be beneficial to applicants, for more convenient travel to client sites. Applicants must hold experience working across a varied portfolio of client sites and will need to demonstrate strong technical knowledge. The role will involve travel across: Woking, Guildford, Aldershot, Camberley, Bracknell, Reading, Slough, Windsor, Hounslow, Southall, Harrow, Wembley, London, Kingston upon Thames, Epsom, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington, Crawley, Redhill, Watford, Crawley, East Grinstead, Enfield, St Albans, Maidenhead, High Wycombe, Borehamwood, Marlow, Potters Bar.
Experience / Qualifications
* Will have hands‑on experience working as a Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer
* Well‑versed in TR19 and BS9999 guidelines
* Ideally will hold industry‑related training / qualifications
* Will have confined spaces training
* Good literacy and IT skills
* Comfortable completing detailed reports
* Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
The Role
* Undertaking the inspections and testing of Fire Dampers across a mix of commercial, industrial, local authority and food and beverage sites
* Completing kitchen extract, duct and canopy cleans
* Surveying of ductwork systems
* Identifying faults within systems and making remedial recommendations
* Working within a team to complete works
* Fitting access doors
* Writing detailed survey reports and updating with work progress
* Representing the company in a professional manner
