Senior Architectural Technologist Job Overview
* Lead and oversee the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA Stages 1-6
* Prepare, coordinate, and manage detailed working drawings, technical packages, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD
* Translate design concepts into robust, buildable solutions while maintaining design integrity
* Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout project stages
* Work across a diverse portfolio including education, residential, commercial, and transport sectors
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the technical team
* Contribute to design reviews and promote best practice in sustainable and innovative construction techniques
* Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, technical standards, and quality assurance procedures
* Play an active role in supporting the strategic delivery of projects on time and within budget
Senior Architectural Technologist Job Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Architectural Technology or equivalent discipline
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a UK-based practice
* Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (essential)
* Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign (advantageous)
* Excellent technical and detailing ability, with a strong eye for design quality and accuracy
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies
* Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage workload effectively, working both independently and collaboratively
* Based within a commutable distance of central Birmingham
Senior Architectural Technologist Salary & Benefits
* Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000, depending on experience
* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
