About role
Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Southport area to cover maternity leave. Please see below for further details:
Spanish Teacher
* Location - Southport, PR8
* Position - Spanish Teacher
* Start date - As soon as possible
* Full time/part time - Full time, covering maternity leave
* Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale
* Hours - 8:00 am - 16:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Designing lesson plans aligned with standards, teaching grammar, and vocabulary
* Setting and marking classwork, homework, and exams; tracking progress to identify areas for improvement.
* Maintaining a positive, encouraging and safe environment.
* Reporting progress to parents, attending staff meetings, and collaborating with departments.
* Staying current with teaching techniques and curriculum changes.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluency in Spanish
* Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Previous experience working with young people in a school setting
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional references.
