Based in Sunderland, my client is a well-established Civil and Structural Design consultancy dedicated to innovative design and sustainable construction. They’re looking for a talented experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to a variety of exciting projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
As a Structural Engineer you will:
• Develop structural designs for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Oversee projects from initial concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
• Perform structural analysis using advanced software tools and provide technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer:
• A degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in structural engineering, with a solid background in design and analysis of various structural systems.
• Strong skills in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Tekla) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to engineering problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
• A full UK driving license is preferred, as site visits will be part of the role.
