Responsibilities
As Supply Chain Manager, you'll be responsible for:
1. Manage the customer order scheduling at each stage of the process to ensure an OTIF target of 98% is achieved
2. Maintain communication with the Sales team on current lead time and identify potential opportunities of spare capacity
3. Ensure that all supply materials are available to fulfil requirements. raw materials, packaging and consumables according to the production plan
4. Manage the sourcing and purchase of engineering parts, spares and consumables for the plant
5. Maintain accurate purchasing and receipting of purchased goods so that visibility on ordering and costs control is maximised
6. Plan and manage the stock levels of engineering parts to support production, avoiding shortages and over stocking
7. Create and maintain efficient procurement systems and processes to support 98% OTIF
8. Support and be proactive in the creation of appropriate methodologies as well as continuous process improvement throughout all operational processes
9. Develop and create an appropriate structure to support all material sourcing, procurement and logistics activities whilst supporting, training and developing staff to ensure that the necessary skills are in place
10. Review and improve processes in order to ensure potential issues are identified and material flow and reconciliation is achieved
11. Ensure stock count is completed in line with agreed instructions and any adjustments are controlled
12. Manage finished goods, raw material, packaging, pallets and cores stock onsite
13. Ensure raw materials, packaging and other consumables are available as part of the overall manufacturing plan
14. Negotiate prices and other supply arrangement for packaging and consumable items
15. Contract manage miscellaneous services to site
16. Manage negotiation of freight and outside storage
17. Minimise next day deliveries and the costs associated with this
18. Ensure that third party suppliers for transport are delivering to agreed SLAs
Qualifications
19. Degree level or equivalent experience
20. MCIPS or BPICS is desirable
21. Experience within planning and sourcing for large and diverse manufacturing organisations
22. Experience working in a fast-paced environment
23. Technical polymer knowledge would be desirable
24. Proactive and solution focused
25. Focus on continuous improvement
26. Ability to prioritise duties while maintaining flexibility
27. Excellent IT skills
