The Role:
We're seeking an experienced Finance Professional to provide critical support to the CFO in building out the capabilities and processes of the finance team to enable the us to become a trusted and valued partner to the business, contributing to delivering the growth ambitions of Amplifi Capital. The role encompasses responsibilities for both BAU finance processes and leading projects to transform and shape the finance function.
Forming part of our Senior Management Team and playing a key role in shaping and implementing the financial strategy of the business, you will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders - both internally as well as with our external partners.
The successful candidate will have a thirst to improve the business's forward looking finance capability, whilst also continuing to automate, improve and offer additional control and financial rigour where applicable. Experience in financial services or technology, industries would be useful, but not essential.
Responsibilities:
* Ownership of Month end close process for the Amplifi Group
* Review and improvement of Finance processes and procedures (inc. balance sheet controls and cash management)
* Identify and implement changes to ensure a robust financial control environment
* Oversight of the finance team in Noida, India - developing the team, building out processes and maximising the capabilities in the team
* Drive changes in Finance to deliver efficiency, including automation and elimination of non value add activity
* Contribute to the design and implementation of a new financial reporting framework to improve quality of management information (including new Cost Centres and P&L structure, set up O2C, P2P and R2R, and develop KPIs)
* Key input into the design and implementation of a new finance ERP system
* Work closely with the commercial teams to ensure that new products are accurately recorded
* Co-ordination of the external audit and responsibility for quarterly VAT returns
* Working collaboratively to build a well-respected and valued Finance function and pro-actively build relationships within the wider Amplifi Group and key external stakeholders
Requirements
* Extensive experience (5 years +) in a financial control and/or management accounting role, ideally in financial services
* Finance process and systems transformation experience very desirable
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to face into ambiguity and change
* Demonstrates ability to operate with a growth mindset and passion for continuous improvement
* Strong technical accounting knowledge (including VAT)
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines
* Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving - comfortable working with and analysing large datasets
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships at all levels in the organisation.
Education and training:
* Fully UK-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally Big 4 trained
* Ideally, experienced in implementing and/or operating Microsoft Dynamics Business Central accounting software or similar ERP. Proficient in use of Xero
* Strong Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI skills
