The role involve a mixture of working at their offices, some work from home and periods of time commissioning on site in Europe. When working abroad you’ll be paid x1.5 your basic salary, x1.5 for any overtime worked, your working week will include all travel time to site, a daily subsistence, an overnight allowance and you'll be paid for 8 hours on Sundays, even if you didn’t work the Sunday whilst you were away. Key aspects of the PLC Software Engineer role include – Have a strong background in writing PLC software using either Siemens or Rockwell systems. Provide a high level of skill in interpreting the customers’ regulatory requirements to ensure software designs are aligned. Communicate accurate project status to the Software Manager, internal and external customers and suppliers Drive/promote high quality coding standards across the team. The successful PLC Software Engineer will have experience of producing good quality Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and FAT documentation. Networking of common automation hardware including EtherNET/IP, ProfiNET, Profibus, Modbus You must be eligible to work in the UK.
