Our client, a vibrant and inclusive mixed secondary school for students aged 11-18 in Braintree, Essex, is seeking an experienced and committed Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to lead their dedicated department from September 2025. About the Role:
As Head of MFL, you will lead the department in delivering high-quality French and/or Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially KS5. You will be responsible for curriculum planning, staff development, quality assurance, and raising pupil attainment in languages.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and inspiring teacher with strong subject knowledge and leadership potential to shape the strategic direction of the department and embed a culture of linguistic excellence.

What They're Looking For:
* A qualified teacher of MFL (French and/or Spanish), with QTS
* Proven experience of delivering outstanding MFL teaching and learning

* The ability to mentor and motivate staff, as well as inspire students
