Their Stockport site is one of the most complex and exciting in the portfolio — spanning cinema, kitchen, leisure and concessions. They need a General Manager who's done this before, someone who gets the world of cinema and leisure from the inside out, and who's ready to take full ownership of it.
What you'll be getting up to?
* Owning the full site operation — guest experience, F&B standards, film scheduling, compliance and facilities — with genuine pride and passion
* Leading, coaching and developing a team of around 100 people, building the kind of culture where people grow, perform and actually want to stay
* Being present and visible — this business is built on GMs who lead from the floor, not from behind a desk
* Taking full P&L ownership — forecasting, cost control, labour budgets and driving strong EBITDA across a multi-revenue operation
* Driving local sales and marketing activity — community relationships, private hire, events and new commercial opportunities
* Knowing when to set the vision and when to roll your sleeves up — and being great at both
What are they looking for?
Cinema and leisure experience isn't just a bonus here — it's essential. To truly lead this operation from day one, you'll need to understand the rhythm of a cinema business: film scheduling, mixed-revenue streams, the guest journey from screen to restaurant. Beyond that, they want someone who:
* Brings proven experience in cinema, leisure or entertainment-led hospitality at a senior level
* Has led large teams (100+) and knows how to build a culture that actually sticks
* Is genuinely hands-on — present, energised and setting the tone every single day
* Has strong commercial acumen and full P&L experience across a complex, multi-revenue site
* Loves developing people — coaching, nurturing performance and growing careers
* Stays calm under pressure, makes decisions with confidence and brings real energy to the role
