Maintenance Assistant, Malmaison
Rate of Pay: £12.65 / 40 hours per week • Type of Contract: permanent

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the general maintenance of the property, upkeep of its facilities and assisting in the management of the maintenance team to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently and guest expectations are met during their stay. You will complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things, meet deadlines, liaise with contractors, and take responsibility for health and safety. You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on individual with strong attention to detail. Experience in a hotel maintenance department of similar quality is required; knowledge of electrics and health and safety is beneficial.

Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the general maintenance of the property and upkeep of its facilities.
* Manage the maintenance team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
* Complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with attention to detail.
* Meet time deadlines and liaise with contractors as required.
* Take responsibility for health and safety in all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel.
* Knowledge of electrics and health and safety is beneficial.
