Business Development Executive – Plymouth – Salary up to £45,000 + OTE
I'm currently working with a growing business in the commercial interiors sector who are looking to bring in a Business Development Executive to support their continued expansion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting new opportunities, and playing a key role in driving business growth within the workspace and fit-out market.
The role
You’ll be responsible for generating and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities, working closely with the wider team to convert leads into projects. The position will involve engaging with key decision-makers, understanding client needs, and helping position the business within a competitive market.
Key responsibilities
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities within commercial fit‑out and interiors
* Building relationships with stakeholders such as business owners, property professionals, and facilities managers
* Carrying out market research to identify trends and potential clients
* Managing and updating activity through CRM systems
* Working towards and exceeding targets and KPIs
* Supporting the development of business growth strategies
* Providing regular updates on pipeline and market activity
* Keeping up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements
* Experience in business development, sales, or account management (ideally within construction, fit‑out, or interiors)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders
* A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a commercial mindset
* Confident presenting and engaging with clients
* Well organised with strong time management skills
* Comfortable working in a target‑driven environment
* A team player who can collaborate across departments
