We're seeking a motivated and adaptable Onsite IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll be responsible for providing IT support for one of our customers, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) providing Primary, Secondary and Post-16 education, based in Seaford, East Sussex, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT services.
What You'll Do:
* Providing advanced desk-side IT support services for a large MAT customer, as part of our Educational Services team, currently based across three geographically separate locations within the town of Seaford, East Sussex.
* Diagnose and resolve IT issues for staff and students, both in person and remotely.
* Maintain and update hardware, software, and network systems as required.
* Provide end-user support for various IT applications.
* Contribute to IT projects and implement new technologies as needed.
* Provide on-demand support across the various site locations (attend as and where the work dictates).
* Opportunity to support/collaborate on non-Education support/project work outside of the trust, for the wider corporate business where workload/resourcing allows.
What We're Looking For:
* Min. 2 years prior IT Support Experience in a corporate or educational environment.
* Can demonstrate a solid understanding of IT fundamentals (hardware, software, networking, server technologies).
* Has previous experience supporting the following technologies:
* Microsoft 365.
* Active Directory.
* Windows Server (including File and Print Services, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS etc).
* Windows 10/11 (intermediate to advanced support).
* PC hardware repairs (laptop and desktop).
* Problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* A proactive and team-oriented approach.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Full, Clean UK Driving license and own vehicle insured for business-use mandatory (business mileage paid at HMRC rates).
Bonus Points:
* Previous experience of working in an educational environment would be advantageous.
* Previous experience of supporting Cisco Meraki LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure advantageous.
* Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft 365/Azure fundamentals, CompTIA etc) are advantageous.
