We are working with a growing and supportive organisation seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly, collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying towards AAT or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA who is looking to develop their career in a positive and encouraging environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the month-end process, providing financial insight, and ensuring accurate reporting. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvements and gain exposure across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support month-end reporting, including preparation and analysis of cost variances
2. Assist with budgeting and reforecasting processes
3. Produce accurate and timely financial information
4. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure processes are followed
5. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business
6. Contribute to improving finance processes and efficiencies
7. Support with ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
About You
8. MUST have experience working in construction.
9. Studying towards AAT or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
10. Strongmunication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
11. Highly organised with excellent time management
12. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
13. Proactive, motivated, and keen to learn and develop
14. Strong Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
