We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active and driven individual to join as a Sales Manager for the North Cluster. Across the 6 production sites in the North Cluster (Livingston, Burscough, Featherstone, Lockerbie, Belper & Neath) we are leading providers of Offset litho, HD Pre Print, Digital Pre Print, High Quality and Flexo post print packaging. This role requires an individual with excellent gravitas and maturity, who can liaise with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
This role will play a key part in the Cluster Sales Leadership Team, providing key insights into the current market, ways for enhancement and identifying innovative developments for DS Smith and our Customers.
As Sales Manager, you'll deliver sustainable growth by understanding customer needs and executing strategies that exceed expectations. Reporting to the Head of Sector Sales, you'll be responsible for developing and exceeding sales plans and objectives.
Your success to success will be based on:
* Driving sales performance: Managing and measuring your team to hit KPIs, including budgets, forecasts, and margin growth
* Customer engagement: Clearly communicating product benefits to secure new business and enhancing the customer experience to ensure DS Smith remains the preferred supplier
* Market expertise: Understanding market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
* Collaboration: Working effectively with other DS Smith sites to boost profitability and customer satisfaction
* Strategic communication: Presenting ideas and market analyses clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
About you
* A track record of success in sales leadership
* Direct experience within packaging manufacturing.
* Proven ability to build strong working relationships
* Experience implementing continuous improvement programmes
* Strong skills in prioritisation and meeting deadlines.
* Expertise in sales reporting and pipeline management.
Location: This is a full time, home-based role with frequent travel to our sites & customers (Livingston, Burscough, Featherstone, Lockerbie, Belper & Neath)
