Providing person-centred support for unemployed and economically inactive clients to help them reduce barriers and actively support their progression to stable employment.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish rapport and trust with clients through one-to-one support.
* Complete initial assessments to support clients' journey to employment, including the use of tools like the Outcome Star.
* Work individually with clients to identify supports and activities, ensuring they are provided or signposted to other services.
* Devise, implement, and review a co-produced, person-centred plan with the client, outlining pathways to reduce barriers and achieve goals.
* Provide consistent motivation and mentoring, empowering clients with complex needs to reach their employment and training goals.
* Manage a caseload effectively, meeting performance targets and project objectives.
* Develop strong relationships with partner organizations delivering employability programs.
* Design and deliver accredited and non-accredited workshops and courses.
* Maintain accurate records of client activity and data in accordance with CERT requirements, including using the Hanlon client management system.
Additional activities include working with the team to improve CERT programs and undertaking other team-related activities as required.

For Key Workers only
* Experience working with unemployed and economically inactive individuals to support their progress toward employment and positive outcomes.
* Experience in designing and delivering group sessions, including workshops and courses.
For Key Workers and Trainee Key Workers
* A commitment to supporting unemployed and economically inactive residents' development and growth.
* Motivation to deliver CERT’s vision.
* Strong networking and communication skills.
* Empathy for our client group.
* Effective communication skills with clients.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Resilience and stamina to meet the demands of the role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal
Experience in delivering and assessing SQA qualifications is desirable.
