Job Description
The Project Pursuit Manager – Data Center Projects (Europe) will lead the pursuit of strategically important opportunities across the Data Center, Complex, and Power Control segments, contributing directly to Emerson’s growth and market expansion. In this role, you will focus on winning high‑impact projects in Europe by engaging effectively with key accounts, end users, EPCs, and partners. You will collaborate closely with regional and global Project Sales teams to shape winning strategies, drive profitable growth, and strengthen the presence of PWS core solutions across the region.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned project pursuits with a European center of gravity, engaging directly with customers and contractors.
* Support local sales organizations in identifying and qualifying new opportunities aligned with established pursuit criteria.
* Provide hands‑on support in the Data Centers Control space, including:
o Conducting market analyses to identify customers with aging assets and long‑term modernization potential.
o Supporting solution design and architecture activities.
o Representing Emerson as a solution expert at internal and external events.
* Lead and coordinate all internal and external pursuit resources - sales, proposal teams, execution groups, executive sponsors, and local business partners - to build winning strategies.
* Guide the development of pursuit strategies, building relationships with key end users, partners, and engineering contractors, and remain actively involved throughout the sales lifecycle, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
* Apply the established project pursuit methodology, covering qualification, team assignments, communication planning, executive alignment, proposal planning, competitive and customer analyses, risk evaluation, and success probability assessment.
* Lead all internal pursuit reviews throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
* Travel frequently within the region, with occasional global travel as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* A degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
* Significant experience (typically 8–10 years) in process automation, ideally across multiple product, services, and solutions domains.
* Proven experience managing large, complex project pursuits and applying professional selling techniques for major capital projects.
* Strong understanding of project execution fundamentals, contracting models, execution practices, and decision‑making processes within global engineering contractors.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Experience in Data Center environments or critical infrastructure sectors.
* Understanding of PWS solutions, including power and process control offerings.
* Ability to develop early‑stage solution concepts and articulate value to diverse stakeholders.
* Experience working across multiple world areas or multicultural environments.
