EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER/NURSERY NURSE Salary: Grade 3, SCP 4 £25,185 (FTE) Actual salary £15,315 per annum depending on years’ service. Contract: Permanent, whole year Holidays: 25 days, plus statutory public holiday entitlements and two discretionary days Hours: 22.5 hrs per week (minimum), Monday to Friday, daily shift pattern of 4.5 hrs per day between the opening hours of 7.00 am – 6.00 pm Start Date: 1 st October 2025 (or as soon as possible after this date) Ridgeway Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an Early Years Practitioners/Nursery Nurse to work within our Sunny Days Nursery at Ridgeway Primary Academy. Sunny Days Nursery provides full day care provision between 7am – 6.00 pm for children aged six weeks to five years. The Nursery is open all year (except bank holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year). The post will be for a minimum of 22.5 hours per week which will consist of daily shift pattern of 4.5 hours between the opening hours of 7.00 am – 6.00 pm. Key Responsibilities To provide the highest levels of care and education for all children attending the settings. Contribute to a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Undertake the role of key person Supervise and support children at all times and ensure that all children are kept safe Work as part of a team to ensure the Primitas values are maintained Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers We are looking for someone who: Has a positive attitude and creative ideas that inspire children to learn Is passionate about providing high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of our children. Takes pride in maintaining positive working partnerships with colleagues, parents and carers.
