Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Bias M&E Engineer to join our Facilities Management team, supporting a portfolio of critical commercial sites.
You’ll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and service and maintenance tasks across a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems — ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability across the estate.
This is a client-facing role within a collaborative team, operating on a shift pattern with staggered start times to provide consistent coverage.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on all M&E plant and equipment in accordance with service level agreements.

Perform fault finding, repairs, and testing on electrical systems including lighting, power, and control circuits.

Support mechanical systems where required, including pumps, motors, AHUs, and HVAC equipment.

Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to all safety procedures, including electrical isolation and permit-to-work systems.
*
Accurately maintain records, reports, and CAFM system updates.
*
Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors to deliver a high standard of service.

Contribute to ongoing service improvement and reliability initiatives across all sites.
*
Work flexibly within the shift structure to maintain operational continuity.

Lighting and emergency lighting systems

Generators, UPS & essential power supplies
*
HVAC plant and control systems (motors, drives, BMS)
*
Fire alarm, access control, and building services interfaces
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
*
Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*
Demonstrable experience in building services / FM environments
*
Strong knowledge of PPM routines, compliance, and safety practices
*
Confident in fault-finding and testing on electrical systems
Desirable (not essential):
*
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
