About the role
1. Provision of timely, practical, and professional occupational H&S advice
2. Develop and promote a positive H&S culture
3. Assist in the promotion, development, and review of the accredited safety management system (ISO). This includes generating H&S policies and procedures.
4. Facilitate the generation and review of risk assessments
5. Deliver internal H&S training courses
6. Conduct H&S inspections independently and with line management
7. Assist with incident investigations, including receiving and investigating reports of adverse events, determining causes, and recommending preventive measures
8. Maintain tracking systems for recording, reporting, investigating, and actioning adverse events, risk assessments, inspections, and tours
9. Maintain the H&S Intranet site and generate periodic reports and presentations on performance
10. Deputize for the Head of H&S as necessary

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Knowledge of Power BI (desirable)
Related Experience
* Ideally, industrial background in an H&S advisory role
Experience in major H&S topics:
* Risk assessments (task, machine, hazardous substances)
* Systems management (policy development, implementation, review)
* Drafting reports and safety procedures
* Creating presentations and training materials using PowerPoint
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for influencing at all levels
* Analytical thinking capacity
