Inch View Early Learning Centre is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant to join our Early Years Team. This part-time role will focus on supporting our youngest learners in the nursery environment, helping to create a safe, inclusive, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
Key Details
* Role: Early Years Pupil Support Assistant (Fixed Term until 26 June 2026)
* Salary: £10,240 – £10,793
* Hours: 16.5 hours per week, Term Time only
* Location: Inch View Primary School, Perth
Key Responsibilities
* Support children's learning and development through play and planned activities
* Work closely with Early Learning and Childcare Practitioners to meet the needs of individual children
* Provide care and support to children, including assistance with personal care routines
* Help prepare learning and play spaces to create an inviting, inclusive, stimulating environment
* Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
* Work with partner agencies to support individual children's needs
Hours of work: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9-3pm.
Skills & Experience
* Genuine interest in working with children who require additional support
* Patient, kind and able to respond sensitively to children's needs
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy early years setting
* Reliable, flexible and committed to the values of inclusive education
* Ideally experience of working with children in a nursery, school or childcare setting

This role requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If not yet registered, you can still apply, with a willingness to apply for registration within 3 months of starting and to be registered within 6 months.
