We are currently looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team in York, UK. The successful candidate should have an excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills with a flexible 'can do' attitude.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Flexibility to work in all areas within the logistic department
* Goods Receipt
o Manage inbound deliveries, including booking in and putting away
o Unload Vehicles
o Monitoring and analyzing supplier conformance and compliance
* Shipping
o Picking materials as per picking list
o Packing and booking of goods as per packing individual instruction.
o Handover of goods to freight forwarders and coordination in a timely manner
* Warehouse
o Adherence to FIFO.
o Initiation and coordination of external warehousing and logistical transfers
o Carrying out inventory-related tasks, support for inventory controls
o Coordination of material flow to, from and within production (line feeding)
o Adherence to Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures
Other tasks and responsibilities
* Use of SAP, WM (Warehouse Management) and MDE (Mobile Data Entry) scanner
* Use of Flexi Narrow Aisle Truck after completion of required training
* Ensure accurate material transaction/tracking processing within SAP to support departmental and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
* Responsible for ensuring all work-related tasks are performed in a manner that is compliant with all Health and Safety rules and regulations
* Evaluating, reporting and escalating problems to Team Leader Logistics
* Any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills and experience required.
* Willingness to adapt to and learn within new areas

* Must be accurate and have good attention to detail
* Able to work on own initiative
* Continuously looking for improvements
* Possess a current forklift truck license – desirable
* Able to work flexibly and to strict timelines to meet deadlines and targets
* Good written and spoken English

* DBS check will be required (Adtran to arrange)
