GSL Education Manchester is currently working with a high-achieving secondary school in Stockport, seeking a dedicated and engaging Teacher of Geography for a long-term role starting in September 2025. About the Role:
You will be teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that spark curiosity about the physical and human world, sustainability, and global responsibility. The department is well-resourced and forward-thinking, with a focus on delivering high-quality, enquiry-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Inspire students through creative and thought-provoking teaching
Assess, track, and support pupil progress using a variety of methods
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider Humanities faculty
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography and environmental awareness
The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge learners of all abilities
Excellent behaviour management and a proactive, team-oriented approach
A commitment to raising achievement and delivering an inclusive curriculum
