GB Health Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with nursing home experience to join our dedicated team at Hebburn Court Care home.
This is a full-time night position offering 44 hours per week on a rolling rota, including alternate weekends.
About the Role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting residents living with dementia, complex mental health conditions, and high-dependency care needs.
You will act as an advocate for residents, ensuring person-centred care is delivered with dignity, respect, and compassion. You will also take responsibility for leading shifts as Nurse in Charge, promoting safe clinical practice and high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Medication administration using the Care Vision system
* Developing, implementing, and reviewing person-centred care plans
* Providing emotional, psychological, and physical support to residents
* Supporting individuals living with dementia and complex mental health needs
* Acting as Nurse in Charge during shifts
* Team leadership, supervision, and shift planning
* Safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults
* Infection prevention and control
* Liaising with GPs and Multi-Disciplinary Teams
* Maintaining clinical governance and compliance standards
Essential Clinical Skills & Experience
* Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
* Experience in care planning and risk assessment
* Medication management
* Syringe driver management
* Catheterisation
* Blood sampling
* PEG feeding
* Stoma care
* Good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
* Excellent understanding of dementia care and complex behaviours
Previous nursing home experience is essential for this post.
