Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for senior care. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support residents in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding.
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
* Help implement and follow individual care plans to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on resident status.
* Supervise junior staff members or volunteers as required, providing guidance and support.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as necessary, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and contribute ideas for improvement.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a healthcare or senior care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and their families.
* Leadership experience is advantageous for supervising staff members.
* Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings is beneficial for maintaining accurate records.
* A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to seniors is essential.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to work independently when required.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

* NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
