An established and forward-thinking accountancy firm is recruiting a Business Services Manager to join their team because of their recent expansions. Responsibilities
* Manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as the key point of contact and ensuring deadlines are achieved in a timely manner.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants and part-qualified staff, overseeing workflow.
* Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and other statutory financial reports.
* Provide insightful business and tax advice, helping clients achieve growth and operational efficiency.
* Liaise closely with partners on complex issues, advisory projects, and client development opportunities.
* Oversee the onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transitions and client satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
* Continuously identify process improvements and implement best practices across the team.
Requirements
* ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience managing a client portfolio in an accountancy firm.
* Strong technical knowledge in accounting standards, tax, and compliance regulations.
* Experience in supervising and developing a team.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
