Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Finance, this role will lead all aspects of Housing finance, both strategic and operational. Responsibilities include short- and long-term financial planning, overseeing Rents & Service charge setting to meet regulatory requirements, and producing Management Accounts, Budgets, and forecasts. The role also includes full oversight of all accounting activities to ensure compliance with Housing Related and regulatory reporting standards. Additionally, the post holder will provide financial advice and support to the Housing team, ensuring decisions align with organisational expectations.

About the role
Your main duties will include:
1. Leading on Financial Planning and long-term financial modelling, including budgeting and forecasting.
2. Undertaking data and trend analysis of housing sector data to ensure continuous improvement and reporting efficiency.
3. Leading Rents and Service Charge setting and uplift processes, ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Rent Standard.
4. Inspiring and motivating the Housing Finance team, enhancing data reporting quality, managing workflow, and supporting professional development to ensure technical accounting knowledge.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
* Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
* Previous experience working in the Social Housing sector.
* Strong analytical skills beyond traditional finance functions.
* Experience in managing people.
