NPI Manufacturing Engineer Bedfordshire £40k - £50k Salary Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business working on complex metallic products and assemblies.This NPI Manufacturing Engineer role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys taking new products from concept through to full production. The successful NPI Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in driving industrialisation activities, improving manufacturability, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through to production ramp-upDesign and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes for metallic components and assembliesProduce manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flowsWork closely with Design Engineering to improve design for manufacture (DFM) and producibilitySupport project delivery through effective planning, risk management, and milestone trackingCollaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure smooth product industrialisationSupport PFMEA/DFMEA activities and drive risk mitigation actions during NPI phasesLiaise with external suppliers regarding tooling and manufacturing supportAssess manufacturing methods to ensure the most cost-effective production solutionsSupport capital equipment and tooling investment justificationsEnsure manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality and regulatory standardsSkills & Experience Required Previous experience within an NPI Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering positionStrong understanding of the full NPI lifecycle and product industrialisationCAD experience with the ability to create and interpret technical drawingsExperience developing manufacturing sequences for complex assembliesKnowledge of PFMEA, PPAP, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience working with MRP/ERP systemsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities within a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of fabricated and machined component manufacturing processesExperience with welding and non-destructive testing would be advantageousCommercial awareness including make vs buy and cost analysis considerations desirableQualifications Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical disciplineEquivalent industry experience will also be consideredWhats on Offer Opportunity to join a growing and innovative engineering businessLong-term career progression opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive working environmentExposure to exciting new product development projectsExcellent opportunity for an experienced NPI Manufacturing Engineer looking to progress within a growing businessFor more information or to apply for this NPI Manufacturing Engineer opportunity, please submit your CV today.TPBN1_UKTJ
