Job title – Data Privacy Consultant Location – Sheffield Rate –Umbrella £570 per day Start date – ASAP Contract Length – Until end of November Summary: Our client HSBC are currently seeking 2 experienced Data Privacy Consultants to join their team in the Sheffield 2 days in office 3 days remote working, this contract will be for until the end of November. Responsibilities: Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.) Guide and direct the design and implementation of RoPA, Data Inventory, PIA, DPIA and data transfer solutions in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. Act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the compliant processing and management of personal data. Independently manage and oversee privacy-related projects and initiatives. Gather and document business requirements by engaging with multiple upstream/downstream stakeholders. Perform gap and impact analysis related to privacy and data management. Leadership and Teamwork Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams as well as colleagues at operational and executive levels, to identify and address operational and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Ensure accuracy and quality of data privacy deliverables, adhering to comprehensive policies and processes. Ensure solutions will deliver compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulatory guidelines. Translate policy and business requirements for wider teams and stakeholders. Functional Knowledge Proven experience of implementing/developing RoPA, Data Inventory, PIA, DPIA and data transfer solutions for large, complex and multi-jurisdiction clients. In-depth understanding of privacy and data management practices. Strong technical judgment and ability to communicate priorities and status to all levels of the organization. Strong exposure to global data protection laws and practices, such as the GDPR, PIPL, DPDPA, CCPA and multi-jurisdictional privacy regulations. Professional certification in privacy (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM) is preferred but not required. Ability to drive privacy initiatives to support regulatory and commercial requirements. Experience leading discussions with product and engineering teams to map process workflows and document technical controls. Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to deliver outcomes in a matrix organization. Highly effective in presenting analytical output to stakeholders and influencing business actions.
