A highly motivated primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking an ambitious Year 5 Teacher to take up post in January 2026. The successful Year 5 Teacher will plan ambitious learning sequences that deepen subject knowledge, develop reasoning and resilience, and prepare pupils for the demands of upper KS2. The role starts January 2026, and the school will provide a comprehensive induction package before January 2026 so the Year 5 Teacher is well prepared for the spring term. Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Year 5 lessons that challenge and extend pupils. Use assessment to set precise targets and monitor progress across the cohort. Lead small-group teaching to close gaps and support stretch for higher achievers. Collaborate on cross-curricular projects and contribute to enrichment programmes. Maintain clear communication with parents and support whole-school priorities. Person specification Qualified teacher with strong KS2 experience and clear evidence of impact in Year 5. Secure subject knowledge, effective planning skills and strong classroom presence. Able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues across Northamptonshire. Enthusiastic about professional learning and school improvement. Available to start January 2026 and to participate in pre-term induction.
