Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Our client is an award winning, family-owned business who have a strong presence in a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical, flavours and fragrance, personal care and agrochemical to name a few.
Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join the E&I team and play a key role in their business.
Key Tasks:
* Design, specify and install control and safety systems; PLC's, DCS, SCADA, HMI etc
* Programming, modification and management of change
* Liaison with control system suppliers, integrators and contractors
* Support maintenance activities
* Ensure all work meets the highest safety standards
Skills and experience:
* Min HNC in Control/Instrumentation Engineering
* Min 5 of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally chemical or process
* Strong knowledge of PLC configuration and programming, Allen Bradley preferred
* Understanding of design for functional safety, SIL, LOPA and Safety Instrumentation
* Experience of communication protocols including industrial ethernet, Modbus or similar
* A flexible, safety-first approach to work
