Overview
Scientific Games International Ltd is a subsidiary of the Scientific Games Corporation. Our Leeds printing facility supplies lottery scratch cards to clients in Europe and operates a brand new in-line flexographic press. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Production Department with planned and daily maintenance and technical advice on bespoke printing and finishing machinery. The department also handles development of new equipment and processes as well as maintenance of Company properties.
Responsibilities
The primary function of the Maintenance Engineering team is to support the Production Department through planned and daily maintenance and technical advice on a range of bespoke printing and finishing machinery. This includes the development of new equipment and processes and the maintenance of Company properties as part of departmental responsibilities. The engineering department operates a rotating shift pattern of early, late and night shifts, with a rostered weekend call-out system.
Qualifications
* Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition qualification preferred but not essential
* Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing environment, and proficiency in PLC Control and Variable Speed Motor Controllers
* Ability to use initiative to solve problems and to challenge the status quo
* Self-motivation and commitment to completing tasks to maintain production
* Flexible approach to work, covering production and maintenance demands as well as continuous improvement methods
Desirable (not essential)
* Experience with print or converting machinery
* Siemens and Mitsubishi controllers
* Project management
* Machine building
* CAD electrical drawing
Terms & Benefits
Salary: competitive up to £54,250.05 per annum plus call-out allowance. Generous annual leave entitlement and a pension scheme with a company match of 6% of pensionable salary. The engineering department operates a rotating shift pattern (early, late and night shifts) with a rostered weekend call-out system, so flexibility around working hours is essential.
