Job Opportunity: Head of Finance – Edinburgh Charity
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid working available)Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Reed Finance are working with a brilliant local charity in the heart of Edinburgh city centre seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join their stable and well-established Finance function.
The Role
As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working closely with the Board of Trustees, you will lead on all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with our mission and goals
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
* Ensure compliance with charity finance regulations and best practices
* Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
* Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making
* Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
About You
We’re looking for a qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with:
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector
* Strong knowledge of charity accounting principles and SORP
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach and a commitment to our values and mission
