The Opportunity
Our company's mission requires an IT environment that is as innovative, reliable, and secure as our science. That’s where you come in. We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Administrator/Engineer to take ownership of the platform that forms the backbone of our IT services.
You will do more than just manage a system; you will architect the digital nervous system that empowers our scientists, engineers, and corporate teams. You will lead the evolution of our ServiceNow instance, expanding its capabilities to support a fast-paced, global research and manufacturing environment. This is a critical role where your work to streamline processes and automate services will directly contribute to accelerating scientific discovery.

1. Administer the ServiceNow Platform: You will be the senior technical owner and visionary for our ServiceNow instance, with a broad scope across multiple high-value modules: IT Service Management (ITSM): Master our Incident, Problem, and Change processes while building out our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to map the critical services that power our company. Strategic & Enterprise Modules: Support and enhance our capabilities within Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Enterprise Architecture (EA). Service Catalogue & Automation: Design elegant user experiences and engineer powerful, intelligent workflows using Flow Designer.
2. Enable a Major Asset Management Initiative: Be a central figure in our strategic project to implement Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional, scheduled to begin in October 2025.
3. Orchestrate the IT Ecosystem: Use ServiceNow as the central hub to automate and integrate with our key operational platforms, including our: Identity Provider (we use Okta) Unified Endpoint Management (we use Microsoft Intune) Identity Governance platform (we use SailPoint)
4. Serve as the Senior Technical Expert: Act as the highest point of escalation for complex issues related to ServiceNow and its integrations, providing mentorship and driving problems to a permanent resolution.
What You'll Bring to the Table
5. Deep ServiceNow Expertise: Extensive, senior-level experience administering, developing, and architecting solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Direct experience with the ITSM suite is essential.
6. Automation & Scripting Mindset: Proven ability to automate complex processes, with strong scripting skills in PowerShell and a solid understanding of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript).
7. A Solid IT Foundation: Demonstrable experience in a system administration or engineering role, showing you understand how different technology domains connect.
Highly Valued Experience (We'll Help You Grow Here)
While you don't need to be an expert in all of these from day one, experience with equivalent solutions in the following areas will be highly valued:
8. Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Okta, Ping Identity, or Azure AD.
9. Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platforms like Microsoft Intune, Omnissa Workspace ONE, or Jamf.
10. Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms like SailPoint, Saviynt, or similar.
