Are you an experienced fire industry salesperson with strong technical knowledge, looking for a stable, office-based role within a growing fire protection business?
The Business
The company is an established fire protection specialist delivering maintenance, servicing, surveying and testing of fire systems across the UK. They operate across healthcare, education, retail, manufacturing, industrial and public-sector environments.
The Role of the Technical Salesperson
This is a hands‑on technical sales role where industry knowledge is essential. You will manage the full sales cycle, from generating new opportunities through to completion, while building long‑term customer relationships.
The role is office‑based, with travel to client sites across the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Salesperson
* Sell fire protection services with a strong focus on fire doors and fire products
* Provide technical advice and solutions to customers
* Generate new business through calls, emails and proactive outreach
* Manage enquiries from initial contact through to close of works
* Build and maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships
* Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs (introduced after probation)
* Maintain accurate CRM and sales records
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer delivery
Requirements of the Technical Salesperson
* Minimum 10 years’ experience within the fire industry
* Proven experience selling fire doors, fire products or fire protection services
* Background with a fire door manufacturer, supplier, installer or similar business
* Strong technical understanding of fire protection systems
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Organised, commercially driven and self‑motivated
* Confident using MS Excel and MS Office
* Willing to travel to client sites and stay away when required

• Basic salary £35,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)
