We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join the National Trust’s Restore Nature Team in Northern Ireland, working as part of the Forever Lough Neagh project team. Forever Lough Neagh is an exciting new initiative that brings together several key organisations who are driven by a collective ambition to respond to current and emerging needs, challenges, and opportunities faced in and around Lough Neagh and its catchment area.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, initiative and a talent for multi-tasking.

You'll play an integral part of ensuring the smooth running of the project, and working closely with the project manager, and wider internal and external stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to help deliver a project of national environmental significance in Northern Ireland.

Salary: £14.16 per hour

Contract: Fixed term contract until 31-Mar-2028

Hours/ working pattern: Full-time,37.5 hours per week

Interview date: 16th June 2026

This is intended to be a full time, fixed term role to end March 2028 funded through external grant funding. The appointment, start date for this role and any possible future extensions to the role will be subject to funding. This role can be considered as a secondment opportunity.

What it's like to work here

You will form part of a small, friendly, and collaborative team. You will be working closely with the Project Manager, wider National Trust colleagues and external project partners to administer and support the successful delivery of various elements of the Forever Lough Neagh project, providing an efficient, effective and flexible project support service to ensure the smooth running of the project, helping to achieve our key ambitions.

You will have an opportunity to work flexibly between various National Trust and wider partner sites, and from home. You will need to attend events and external meetings at various locations around Lough Neagh and wider catchment area.

What you'll be doing

The role involves collaboration with various partners, stakeholders, and community groups, to administer and support the successful delivery of various elements of the Forever Lough Neagh project.

You will be involved with and have responsibility for various elements of the project including internal/external communications, procurement and IT processes, record keeping, general administration, financial management and project reporting.

Through this project, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills, learning from various specialists involved in all aspects of nature conservation, heritage protection, business support, communication and community engagement. You will have opportunities to attend site visits end engagement events and will be supported with professional development opportunities.
