Nicholas Associates are partnered with a groundworks and civil engineering contractor who are one of the most highly regarded companies in their field, due to growth and securing new work they are looking for a Pre-Construction Manager. The company has a high staff retention rate and employee progression programmes, as a business, they work alongside construction companies and deliver civil engineering, groundworks, infrastructure services to new build projects with top 10 house builders.\n\nThe primary role of the Pre-Construction Manager is to lead the pre-construction modelling team and to provide technical guidance for our estimators and site teams in the delivery of successful tenders. The role involves building close working relationships with our clients, to obtain a competitive advantage at tender stage and translating this into a strategy for the successful delivery of all secured tenders.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nIdentify and explore all value engineering opportunities. \nObtain an accurate ground model and produce an earthworks strategy.\nOversee the transition of earthworks models from tender to construction. \nWork closely with the Construction Directors and Group Commercial Director to ensure that our tender strategy is converted into actual site activities.
\nEnsure that the post-contract team understand the scope of works and strategy for the successful delivery of the site. \nSite visits as required during first 3 months of new sites commence.\nAttend pre-start Meetings; internal and external. \n\nExperience Required:\n\nHNC / HND / Degree in civil engineering.\n10 years-experience in civil engineering.
\nSkilled in the use of modelling software. \nGood communication skills with clients, suppliers and colleagues. \nA professional and confident attitude.
