1. Court of Protection Solicitor role handling complex property & finance work
2. No traditional billing targets, quality, accuracy and outcomes matter
3. Highly specialist boutique team working on panel-level CoP matters
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most specialist Court of Protection teams in the region, working on cases that many firms simply don’t have the capability or authority to handle.
You’ll be stepping into a mid-level role within a boutique practice that acts on high-impact deputyship, contentious CoP, financial abuse and recovery matters. The work is detailed, technical and investigative, requiring strong judgement, resilience and precision rather than volume-driven billing.
This role suits someone who enjoys complex problem-solving, financial analysis and working closely with vulnerable clients and their families, and who wants to be developed properly, in a calm and highly collaborative environment.

5. Comfortable handling property & finance CoP matters
6. Strong financial awareness and Excel-based analysis skills
7. Open-minded and willing to learn a specialist, risk-led way of working
8. Calm, resilient and not easily overwhelmed
9. Experience working with vulnerable clients (Desired)
10. Exposure to litigation or contentious probate (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
11. Managing a mixed Court of Protection caseload at Grade B/C level

15. Supporting contentious CoP disputes and financial abuse investigations
16. Assisting with recoveries, mismanagement and safeguarding issues
17. Drafting expert-style reports for court and OPG scrutiny
18. Working closely with senior specialists while supporting junior team members
Salary & Benefits

21. Work on some of the most complex Court of Protection matters in the country
22. Exposure to panel-level deputyship work without needing to be a panel deputy
23. Opportunity to contribute to expert witness reports and advisory work
24. Clear internal pathway from mid-level to senior specialist, based on capability rather than PQE
25. Office-based role with flexibility where needed
26. Calm, boutique environment with learning delivered in-room alongside senior specialists
27. High-impact work where quality, judgement and outcomes matter more than volume
28. Long-term progression in a team trusted by the courts and OPG
